CM Punk made his big return to WWE at the Survivor Series premium live event in November of 2023, and he’s been a part of some major moments since then.
The Second City Saint competed in one of the biggest matches of his career back in April when he faced off against Roman Reigns in the night 2 main event at WrestleMania 42, and Punk ultimately dropped the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to The Tribal Chief. Punk appeared on the following episode of Monday Night Raw and teased a potential match with Cody Rhodes, but he hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since.
Originally CM Punk was being advertised for dates on WWE’s European tour before he was ultimately pulled from advertising for said events. Due to Punk’s extended absence from WWE programming there have been a number of rumors making the rounds regarding the reason why he’s been off TV.
One of the rumors making the rounds claims that WWE doesn’t have any creative plans for Punk at the moment, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
While talking about the CM Punk situation on WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WrestleVotes shot down rumors that WWE has no creative plans for Punk. It was also noted that Punk is getting a well deserved rest as he’s been on TV for almost three years straight, with the exception of time he missed due to injury. The expectation is that he’ll be back in no time, and when he returns he will be back at the top of the card.
Even though CM Punk hasn’t been on TV he’s still very much the talk of the wrestling world as he’s been hitting the gym pretty hard which has led to a lot of discussion about his physique.
