Throughout the years there have been many influential stables in the world of professional wrestling and there’s no denying the impact that the New World Order had. Over the years many different groups have tried to replicate the NWO’s success, and it seems that WWE tried to reboot the group entirely in 2020.
Former WWE writer Chris Dunn recently appeared on the Public Enemies Podcast and he claimed that WWE had plans to create a new version of the NWO which would have included Sheamus, Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and Lars Sullivan. According to Chris Dunn the idea was for a former member of the NWO to introduce the new version of the group, but the former NWO member didn’t pass a COVID test.
“The pitch was Sheamus, Cesaro, Nakamura & Lars Sullivan. I forget which legendary nWo member was supposed to fly to Orlando to introduce this new nWo. Essentially, they landed & they didn’t pass the COVID test.”
Never heard anything about it. Scott and @TheRealXPac and myself were out almost every weekend together. So it definitely wasn't one of us.
