Adam Copeland shocked the world when he came out of retirement back in 2020, and he shocked the world once again when he made the jump to All Elite Wrestling in 2023. While Copeland was lucky to get cleared for his return, he knows that at 52 years old the clock is ticking.

While speaking with Clutch Points, Adam Copeland confirmed that time has been added to his AEW contract due to the time he missed, and he stated that he doesn’t even know when it expires at this point.

“I broke my leg, so there’s injury time added, and I had to go film Beekeeper (2) and Percy Jackson, so (that’s) added. Anytime I have to take a break, that gets added on the back end. I’m not even sure when it’s up.”

Copeland is in a unique situation as he was previously forced to retire due to injury, and is currently enjoying the second act of his career. While talking about his eventual retirement he made it clear that he doesn’t care if there’s no big sendoff this time around.

“I already had my sendoff. This time, it’ll be my choice, and that makes it a different experience entirely. I don’t care if I get this big, tearful sendoff. I have no preconceived idea of what it needs to be.”
