A few weeks ago WWE released over two dozen wrestlers and Aleister Black was one of the more surprising names to get cut. Following his release from WWE fans immediately wondered if he could potentially return to All Elite Wrestling.
SEScoops is now reporting that Aleister Black is in active negotiations with All Elite Wrestling. Recently it’s been rumored that AEW had no interest in bringing Black back to the company, but a source with direct knowledge of the situation has said that the negotiations are happening regardless of how Black’s relationship with AEW is being framed publicly.
Back in June of 2021, Aleister Black was released from WWE and he signed with All Elite Wrestling shortly after as he debuted with the company in July of 2021. He went on to form the House of Black stable, and together they captured the AEW World Trios Championship. However, the group disbanded when Black parted ways with AEW after his contract expired in February of 2025.
Following his AEW departure, Black went on to return to WWE in April of 2025. He had been featured pretty consistently on WWE programming over the last year or so, but ultimately the company decided to cut ties with him during the recent round of releases.
In regard to his negotiations with AEW, it’s being reported that terms have not been finalized and there is no deal in place as of this writing. Stay tuned for updates.
