A number of WWE stars have parted ways with the promotion over the last few weeks due to the recent releases. Today it was reported that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have both mutually agreed to part ways with WWE after the company asked them to restructure their contracts.
Kofi had been with WWE since 2006, Woods had been with WWE since 2010, and The New Day have been a mainstay on WWE programming ever since Kofi and Woods formed the group alongside Big E in 2014.
Big E recently reacted to the news when he posted some artwork on his Instagram story which adapts the Spider-Man no more artwork showing Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods exiting an alley with their New Day attire in a garbage can behind them.

At this point in time it’s not clear what’s next for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, but PWInsider is reporting that there’s a lot of excitement in AEW circles regarding the idea of the two stars potentially joining the company. It was noted that there’s no confirmation the team will be joining All Elite Wrestling, although there are some who are excited about the idea.
