Friday Night SmackDown has gone through some major changes over the last few years as the show moved from FOX to USA Network, and now the show is set to go through another big change sooner than later. Bodyslam is reporting that sources have indicated Friday Night SmackDown will be leaving the 3 hour format and going back to 2 hours in a few weeks.

It was noted that this is a USA Network move, not a WWE move. USA Network has exclusive shows that will be airing in the 10 PM Eastern time slot including Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman.

Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a major shake up as new WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley officially joined the brand and established herself as the face of the SmackDown women’s division. Fatal Influence also debuted and the group made it clear that they have their sights set on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and WWE Women’s Championship.

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ricky Saints is set to make his debut during the show. SmackDown will be getting another fresh face in the near future as Blake Monroe is also expected to join the blue brand as well.

Stay tuned for updates.
