Paige Returns To WWE At WrestleMania 42

Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 aired live from Allegiant Stadium on Saturday night and the show featured a four way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Ahead of the show it was announced that Nia Jax & Lash Legend would defend the belts against Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria & Bayley and The Bella Twins. However, Nikki Bella’s status was in question due to Nikki suffering an ankle injury on SmackDown a few weeks ago.

After the first three teams entered The Bella Twins made their way to the stage and Nikki was using a crutch. She announced that she was unable to overcome her injury, but she didn’t want to ruin Brie’s WrestleMania moment. Nikki said she called an old friend and Paige’s music hit. The former WWE Divas Champion then made her first appearance on WWE programming since 2022 as she walked to the ring with The Bella Twins.

Throughout the match Paige stood on the apron as fans patiently waited for her to tag in. When she finally got the hot tag she dominated the match and hit the Page Turner on Lyra Valkyria, but Bayley broke up the pin. Shortly after Paige and Charlotte teamed up to clear the ring then the two stars faced off one on one. Nikki Bella pulled Charlotte out of the ring and hit The Queen with her crutch.

Shortly after Paige hit the Rampaige on Alexa Bliss to win the match and the WWE Tag Team Championship. After the bell rang, Paige and Brie held up the belts while Nikki celebrated with the new champions.

It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Paige in the weeks and months to come as it was recently reported that she signed a multi-year contract with WWE. Stay tuned for updates.
