WWE tickets have been a hot topic on social media over the last few years due to how expensive they’ve become. During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk cut a fiery promo and he mentioned the ticket prices when he said, “You want to talk about ticket sales? Do me a favor and call up that agent that was foolish enough to shoehorn you into this business and this show and tell him to lower the ticket prices.”
Following Raw, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer writes, “If it wasn’t obvious from Punk’s promo, it appears WWE is looking to lower ticket prices through the summer.”
It was also noted that the ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 have been a cause for concern in recent weeks as sales have stalled which has resulted in WWE offering discounts through a number of promotions.
Bodyslam is also reporting that WWE and TKO are very aware of the talk on social media regarding ticket prices. Another source reportedly indicated that several top stars have been pushing the company to lower ticket prices as they believe that die hard fans are being priced out and they want them to be able to attend shows in person.
