This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from Houston and the show featured a big six man tag team match. Penta, Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee faced off against Los Americanos, and it was Penta’s team that picked up the win.
After the match Penta, Evans and Dragon Lee celebrated as Rey Mysterio’s music hit. The Hall of Famer made his way down to the ring and he congratulated Penta on winning the Intercontinental Championship.
Rey told Penta that the ladder match at WrestleMania has the potential to be one of the greatest ladder matches in history. He reminded everyone how he missed WrestleMania last year, and he said that he and Adam Pearce both agreed that the ladder match is missing one person, Rey Mysterio. After Rey made the announcement Penta looked thrilled as he said, “Let’s make history.”
Mysterio last stepped into the ring back in January when he entered the men’s Royal Rumble match. However, he has been out of action since then and confirmed that he was dealing with a rib injury that he suffered during a singles match against Austin Theory on the January 26 episode of Raw.
It was also announced during the show that The Usos & LA Knight will face off against Logan Paul, Austin Theory & IShowSpeed at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania 42 will air live from Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026 and the updated card can be seen below.
