WrestleMania week is almost here which means fans will soon be tuning in to watch the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Some big names are set to be inducted this year and it was recently announced that former WWE Champion Sid Eudy will be one of the legacy inductees this year.

Recently a fan asked Sid’s son, Gunnar Eudy, if he would be accepting the Hall of Fame ring on behalf of his dad, and Gunnar responded to the fan when he confirmed that there will be no speech because Sid is a legacy inductee.

“There will be no acceptance speech because they are putting him in the legacy wing. We will just be in the crowd. We would have been honored to give a speech but at the same time I feel like his fans rather see a video package of him than two people talking that they don’t know.”

Sid’s legacy inductee status has been heavily debated among fans as many feel that the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion deserves a spot alongside the main inductees.

In addition to Sid, it’s also been confirmed that Bad News Brown will join the 2026 class as a legacy inductee. Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles and Demolition have been announced for the 2026 Hall of Fame class while Dennis Rodman will be joining the celebrity wing. Andre The Giant vs. Hulk Hogan from WrestleMania III will be the second match inducted into the Hall of Fame as the bout is set to receive the Immortal Moment award.

The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will air live on April 17, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada at Dolby Live at Park MGM the night before WrestleMania 42.
