There are a number of dream matches in the world of professional wrestling and for decades now fans have been talking about the fact that Shawn Michaels never went one on one with The Great One.
During a recent appearance on 7 PM in Brooklyn, Shawn Michaels talked about his history with The Rock and he explained that The Final Boss didn’t like him because of some of the things he was told regarding HBK and The Game being mean to him.
“He didn’t like me. There’s a big kerfuffle in the wrestling business about me and Hunter doing stuff to him and being mean. All of it way blown out of proportion. None of it even accurate. But things that when he was younger was fed a lot.
Later on, and to this day, we get along, and we talk about stuff. That’s one that I think everybody would’ve liked to have seen. By the time I came back he was well off into his Hollywood career. Even when it comes to me, I’d pick him.”
While Shawn Michaels is currently retired, The Rock has not officially hung up his boots just yet. He last stepped into the ring during the night 1 main event at WrestleMania 40, but it’s not clear at this point in time if he will return to in-ring competition at some point in the future.
