Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Randy Orton’s mystery caller was finally revealed when Pat McAfee returned and attacked Cody Rhodes. McAfee addressed his return on the Pat McAfee Show today, and he hyped up Randy Orton while taking shots at the Internet Wrestling Community.
“Anything that doesn’t involve Randy in my eyes – s**t. If Randy Orton’s involved – good. Somehow tickets are still available for WrestleMania. Just know, that we got some things cooking, and you’re gonna wanna be in Las Vegas. It’s gonna be spectacular, it’s gonna be special. Future wrestling generation fans will have to look back on the night that was in Las Vegas and say ‘That was the moment that GOAT saved the entire business by becoming 15 time world champion.'”
“These IWC dips***s have no idea, this is for the good of them. They have no idea what they’ve been missing, they have no idea what it’s supposed to look like. Now we change that. The IWC are not the biggest fans of what happened. They’re pretty upset about it. But they are apart of the problem, they are the ones that said ‘Yeah this is what it’s supposed to be all this stuff.’ It’s like nah let us show you what it’s supposed to be.”

McAfee also took shots at the current WWE product during his promo on SmackDown when he said that the business Cody has been leading is terrible, and Randy Orton is going to save it.
Following the show it was reported that the internal response to McAfee’s promo was mixed, and the company is well aware of the reaction it received online. Moving forward Pat McAfee is reportedly factored into plans for WWE programming through WrestleMania.
