Friday’s episode of SmackDown featured a big reveal as Pat McAfee returned and announced that he’s the one who’s been talking to Randy Orton on the phone after hitting Cody Rhodes with a low blow. The reveal sent the wrestling world into a frenzy and Cody Rhodes returned to the ring later in the show to deliver a fiery promo.
During the promo Cody Rhodes ripped on Pat McAfee and compared him to Disco Inferno when he said, “We got all dressed up in St. Louis to find out who Randy Orton was talking to on the phone. Color me surprised when it was Pat McAfee. That’s like if Scott Hall and Kevin Nash talked about the 3rd man and instead of Hulk Hogan it was Disco Inferno.”
Following Cody’s promo on SmackDown, Disco Inferno took to social media to post the following:
