Ricochet certainly isn’t shy when it comes to engaging with people on social media and last week the former AEW National Champion found himself on the receiving end of some backlash from fans. After a fan posted a tweet criticizing his acting skills, Ricochet responded with a tweet that said, “I’m glad you got MS.”
The tweet sent social media into an uproar for obvious reasons, but Ricochet later deleted the tweet and issued an apology. Shortly after it was reported that a friend called Ricochet and encouraged him to take the tweet down. Now it seems that the friend’s identity has been revealed.
Fightful Select reports that according to those they spoke to Chris Hero was the one who reached out to Ricochet to give him advice regarding the disrespectful tweet about MS.
Amid the controversy regarding the tweet Ricochet’s wife, Samantha Irvin, also revealed that she had been receiving disturbing messages from fans. As of this writing AEW has not publicly commented on the situation, but it’s been reported that Ricochet did not get anything negative from the company.
