This week’s episode of NXT is set to air live from the 713 Music Hall in Houston, TX, but it looks like the NXT roster could be dealing with some travel issues ahead of the show.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, NXT talent are stuck at the airport in Orlando, Florida due to flight delays. Thunderstorms in the area have impacted flights with delays and cancelations.
“NXT talent apparently stuck at the Orlando airport which is currently at a ground stoppage with flights delayed so far above four hours,” Alvarez writes. “NXT is in Houston tomorrow and WWE is monitoring the situation in case they can’t get out of Orlando.”
This week’s episode of NXT is being promoted as Booker T Appreciation Night and the show is also set to feature several title matches. Jacy Jayne will be defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Sol Ruca and Zaria in a triple threat match, and Tatum Paxley is set to defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Izzi Dame inside of a steel cage. The WWE Women’s Speed Championship will also be on the line when Fallon Henley defends the belt against Wren Sinclair.
Vanity Project vs. Los Americanos has been confirmed for the show and Hank & Tank will be taking on Birthright in the NXT Tag Team Championship number one contender’s tournament.
