You never know what’s going to happen when you watch a wrestling pay-per-view and Ronda Rousey shocked the world when she showed up at Revolution on Sunday night.
After Toni Storm defeated Marina Shafir, Ronda Rousey stepped into the ring while Storm was celebrating on the stage. Rousey then called Storm down to the ring and Storm obliged. The two stars came face to face for a moment before they were separated by security and Rousey left through the crowd with Marina Shafir.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that only a few people in WWE knew about Ronda’s appearance at Revolution. It’s being said that most people within WWE were shocked to see Ronda Rousey at an AEW pay-per-view.
During the AEW Revolution post-show media scrum Tony Khan addressed Ronda’s appearance and stated that she’s welcome in AEW anytime when he said, “Marina Shafir brought her in as backup. Ronda Rousey’s a huge star. We have a great relationship with her. She’s wrestled for me before in ROH, and Ronda’s always welcomed here in AEW anytime.”
It’s also been confirmed that Toni Storm and Marina Shafir will be facing off once again in a no holds barred match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
