This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN and the show featured a huge title defense as Dominik Mysterio put his Intercontinental Championship on the line when he stepped into the ring with Penta.
Ahead of the match Dominik Mysterio asked Finn Balor and JD McDonagh if he could count on them during his match tonight. Finn told Dom that they talked about this, and it’s something he has to do by himself. Dominik said that’s not what he meant, and asked if they would be out there to celebrate with him after he won, as a family.
Later in the show Dominik, Finn and JD encountered Danhausen backstage, and Danhausen cursed Dominik as he was on his way to the ring. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh watched the match from the ringside area as Dominik faced off against Penta.

Near the end of the match Dominik asked JD to get the hammer for the ring bell. JD grabbed it and Finn stopped him from handing it over to Dominik. As Finn and JD McDonagh were arguing Penta dove over the top rope and took them out.
Penta returned to the ring and Dominik went for a 619, but Penta dodged it. Penta then countered with a Mexican Destroyer and he pinned Dominik Mysterio to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.
