MJF won the AEW World Championship at the Worlds End pay-per-view back in December and ever since then he’s had a target on his back. Multiple names have made it clear they want a shot at MJF’s title, and one of those names happens to be Brody King.
During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF faced off against Brody King in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match and King made short work of the champion.
After the bell rang Adam Page made his way onto the entrance ramp which caused MJF to get distracted. Brody King capitalized on the distraction when he put MJF in a sleeper then finished him off with the Gonzo Bomb.
MJF reacted to getting squashed by Brody King when he posted the following:

After picking up the victory Brody King will now go on to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at Grand Slam Australia next week. Grand Slam Australia is shaping up to be a big show as Jon Moxley is set to defend the AEW Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita, and Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron will be defending the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship against Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford.
Adam Page and Andrade El Idolo will be facing off in a match to determine the number one contender for the AEW World Championship, and Orange Cassidy & Toni Storm will go up against Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir in a tornado tag match that will see the losers get their heads shaved.
