AJ Styles seemingly retired last weekend when he was defeated by Gunther in a career threatening match at the Royal Rumble. After the match AJ took his gloves off then put them back on which led to a lot of speculation regarding whether or not The Phenomenal One is really done for good.
When he was asked during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show if AJ Styles is really retired CM Punk said, “Who knows? I don’t know. I know what he told me behind the scenes, which is nobody else’s business.”
“If we ever do a WrestleMania in Atlanta in the future and we need gnarly Allen Jones to come back and do a street fight like Bruno Sammartino against ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage circa late 80s, bring it on.”

If AJ Styles truly is done then that means CM Punk faced off against Styles in his final Raw match when he defended his World Heavyweight Championship against AJ on the 1/26 episode.
As of this writing AJ Styles has yet to comment on his future, so it will be interesting to hear what he says when he finally does open up about his next move.
