It looks like we’re getting closer to the release of the next game in the WWE 2K series as details regarding WWE 2K26 are starting to emerge. The Showcase Mode has become an integral part of the series and it’s featured some big names in the past such as Steve Austin and John Cena to name a few. It looks like another big name will be featured in this year’s Showcase Mode as it will reportedly focus on a current champion.
Insider Gaming is reporting that WWE 2K26’s Showcase Mode will feature CM Punk. According to the report the Showcase Mode will be narrated by CM Punk and will feature three sections of matches.
In the first section players will relive some of Punk’s favorite matches from his WWE career. Another section will feature “What If?” matches that focus on what could have happened if Punk hadn’t left WWE in 2014, and the last section will feature fantasy matches that see Punk face off against opponents he was never able to step into the ring with for one reason or another.
As of this writing WWE has not made any official announcements regarding what fans can expect from WWE 2K26, but the report notes that the game is expected to be released in March. If that is the case then it’s likely WWE will be revealing the cover for the game sooner rather than later.
Stay tuned for updates.
