There have been a number of breakout stars in WWE over the last few years and recently two notable names got called up to the WWE main roster. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Trick Williams signed with the blue brand, and Je’Von Evans officially signed a contract with Raw during the most recent episode.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Je’Von Evans is seen as someone who can be a star, but not a franchise star. It was also noted that Oba Femi is someone who is seen as a top guy, and is someone who company officials think of as a Bron Breakker.

While Je’Von Evans signed a Raw contract earlier this week many fans were surprised to see that he signed his contract during a commercial break. Recently it was reported that many in WWE were puzzled by the situation, but insisted it was an indication of the company’s view on Evans.

Je’Von Evans made quite the impression on the NXT fans as he won the Male Superstar of the Year award in 2025, so it will be interesting to see how he’s used on Raw in the months to come.
