Ever since the mysterious masked man interfered in the Survivor Series main event and attacked CM Punk everyone’s been talking about his true identity. Following Survivor Series it was reported that Austin Theory was the man under the mask, but it appears that WWE has been using multiple people to try and throw fans off.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Austin Theory has not been the only man under the mask doing the run ins. Recently there’s been a lot of speculation regarding who will eventually be revealed as the masked man, but Dave Meltzer is reporting that as of this week he was told there is a zero percent chance it will be Chris Jericho.
It was noted that until the masked man’s identity is officially revealed it could be anyone, but Chris Jericho taking on the role is not in the plans as of right now.
This week on Monday Night Raw the masked man attacked Rey Mysterio, and he later showed up during the main event to deliver a stomp to LA Knight on the announce table which led to Logan Paul picking up a win over The Megastar.
At this point in time there’s no word on when WWE is planning to reveal the masked man’s identity, so it seems that this will be one of the main storylines on WWE programming for the foreseeable future.
