It’s become more and more common in recent years for WWE stars to crossover into Hollywood, and earlier this year it was announced that Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes had been cast in the Street Fighter movie as Akuma and Guile respectively.
Fans have been patiently waiting for a glimpse of Roman and Cody in the movie and today the first trailer for the film was released.

The Street Fighter film is currently set to arrive in theaters on October 16, 2026. Cody and Roman join other notable names in the film such as Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog just to name a few.
The synopsis for the film reads as follows:
“Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”
