The year is quickly coming to an end which means the road to WrestleMania will be kicking off sooner than later. The Royal Rumble premium live event kicks off the road to WrestleMania and the show will emanate from Saudi Arabia for the first time ever in 2026.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE is currently planning for the Royal Rumble PLE to be a four match show. The idea is the show will feature two title matches, and two Royal Rumble matches. As of right now the two title matches have not been finalized even though the show is less than two months away.

The 2025 Royal Rumble featured some big moments as Charlotte Flair won the women’s Royal Rumble for the second time in her career, and Jey Uso won the men’s Royal Rumble for the first time. Jey went on to defeat Gunther to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 41, while Charlotte was defeated by Tiffany Stratton who retained the WWE Women’s Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Recently it was reported that WWE has decided on the current favorite to win the men’s Royal Rumble match in 2026, and you can get more details on that here.
