Right now there’s a lot of interest when it comes to Chris Jericho’s future as it’s no big secret that his AEW contract is set to expire at the end of the year. Jericho has been with AEW since 2019, but recently there’s been a lot of talk about a possible WWE return for the former world champion.

Recently Chris Jericho talked about his future on The Tim Weisberg Show, and he teased that fans will likely see him in a wrestling ring at some point in 2026.

“Well, you never know, man. That’s the thing. I’m not done yet. So, [I’m] still figuring out everything and see where I end up. But I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.”

Chris Jericho has not appeared on AEW programming since he dropped the ROH World Champiionship to Bandido back in April. Tony Khan recently commented on Jericho’s status with AEW and said that the door is always open.

While Tony Khan has made it clear that the door is open for Jericho to return to AEW, it’s been reported that WWE has offered Jericho a retirement storyline, and people within the company expect him to be back early next year.

Stay tuned for updates.
