The AEW Full Gear pay-per-view aired live from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on Saturday night and the show featured a huge main event. Adam Page defended the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe inside a steel cage and it was Joe who ended up walking away with the gold.

Near end of the match Katsuyori Shibata tried to climb into the cage, but he was stopped by Eddie Kingston. Powerhouse Hobbs then interfered and ripped the lock off the cage door.

Hook made his way down to the ring while the referee was down and he appeared to be assisting Page as he attempted to wake up the referee. However, Hook then picked up the AEW World Championship and knocked Page out with the belt. Hook followed up by removing his hoodie to reveal an Opps shirt. Samoa Joe then hit the Muscle Buster on Adam Page to win the AEW World Championship for the second time in his career.

After the match the lights went out and a burning house appeared on the screen. Prince Nana appeared and then Swerve Strickland made his return. Swerve proceeded to make his way to the ring and he took out The Opps Dojo and stood side by side with Adam Page as the show went off the air.
