Chris Jericho is a very hot topic in the world of wrestling right now as it’s no big secret that his contract with AEW is set to expire at the end of the year. Everyone is wondering what the future holds and The Young Bucks recently addressed his status with the company.
While talking to Adam’s Apple about Chris Jericho’s future Nick Jackson said, “He’s a founding father, so of course we want him to stay. We’re not sure where he’s at head space-wise right now. I know he’s, like, on a break. And he’s trying to figure it out on his own. And sometimes you gotta let a wrestler like that figure it out on his own.”
Chris Jericho first signed with AEW in 2019 and he went on to become the first ever AEW World Champion. He has not appeared on AEW programming since he dropped the ROH World Championship to Bandido at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view back in April.
So far Jericho has given no indication regarding whether or not he intends to stay with All Elite Wrestling, but it’s been rumored that there is talk within WWE of a possible return for Chris Jericho.
Stay tuned for updates.
