Monday Night Raw was a loaded show this week as it kicked off with John Cena’s final appearance on the red brand. The show also featured the return of Dolph Ziggler who lost a first round match to Solo Sikoa in The Last Time Is Now Tournament.
Later in the night Becky Lynch made her way to the ring to defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri. Ultimately it was Maxxine Dupri who picked up the win and walked out with the gold.
Near the end of the match Becky connected with the Manhandle Slam, but Maxxine got her foot on the rope to break up the pin. Becky got frustrated and threw Maxxine out of the ring. While the referee was distracted Becky started to pull the pad off the top turnbuckle as AJ Lee’s music hit.
AJ Lee made her way down to ringside which threw Becky off her game. Lynch then turned around and walked right into a crossbody off the top rope from Maxxine Dupri. As soon as Maxxine landed she pinned Becky to win the title to a big reaction from the fans. Maxxine Dupri then celebrated with the belt alongside AJ Lee as pyro went off and Becky looked on from the ring with a stunned look on her face.
Later in the show during a backstage segment Jackie Redmond asked AJ Lee if she’s going to stick around. AJ left it open end as she said that she just came back to help her husband, but Becky Lynch ignites something in her. Rhea Ripley then appeared and asked AJ if she had a second to chat as they walked off screen.
