This week’s episode of WWE Raw ended with a big segment as Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turned on Seth Rollins. Following the show it was reported that Seth Rollins is dealing with an injury that he may have suffered while doing the coast to coast dive in his match with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel on Saturday.
PWInsider is reporting that there are some within WWE who believe that Seth Rollins is heading toward shoulder or rotator cuff surgery. However, at this point the full extent of the injury is still unknown.
There are some people within WWE who are taking a wait and see approach regarding the injury after Seth Rollins worked everyone with his knee injury leading up to his cash in at SummerSlam.
Other people in the company who believe the injury is legitimate noted that WWE wouldn’t have had Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turn on Seth Rollins so abruptly if the injury wasn’t real. WWE had been building toward big matches such as Rollins vs. Roman Reigns and Rollins vs. CM Punk, but those matches are believed to be off the table now.
Currently Seth is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and CM Punk earned the right to challenge for the title when he picked up a win over Jey Uso and LA Knight in this week’s Raw main event. At this point there’s no word on what WWE has planned for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship moving forward.
