John Cena’s retirement tour is winding down as he only has 5 appearances left on his schedule. It’s been confirmed that Cena will be facing AJ Styles at Crown Jewel: Perth last month, and recently there’s been a lot of talk about who else he could face before the retirement tour comes to an end.
On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Copeland addressed the fallout from his tag team match at All Out when he told Christian Cage that he has to go home and focus on his family. Cope also told his tag team partner that he doesn’t know if he’ll be back which led to a rumor regarding a possible WWE return for the former champion.
PWInsider is reporting that Adam Copeland was written out of AEW storylines and taking a temporary exit from the company so he can film the next season of Percy Jackson. There is absolutely no truth to rumors of Adam Copeland returning to WWE for a match with John Cena.
There’s no denying that Copeland was one of John Cena’s greatest rivals and Cena recently paid tribute to Copeland when he hit the spear on Sami Zayn during his final SmackDown match. Copeland returned the favor recently at All Out when he did the Five Knuckle Shuffle when Cope & Christian faced off against FTR.
