It’s certainly not uncommon for Roman Reigns to take time away from WWE as he’s been working a part-time schedule over the last few years. At Clash in Paris last month The Tribal Chief picked up a big victory over Bronson Reed, but his celebration was short-lived as Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker destroyed Roman Reigns to the point where he had to be stretchered out of the arena.
Reigns has not appeared on WWE programming since Clash in Paris, and it’s no big secret that the former champion has been busy filming the new Street Fighter movie. PWInsider is now reporting that Roman Reigns is set to wrap up filming for the Street Fighter movie tomorrow, which means he will be free to return to WWE.
An exact return date is unknown at this point in time, but Roman Reigns is featured on the recently released poster for Crown Jewel: Perth which would seem to indicate that WWE might have plans for him at the event. We’re a little over two weeks away from Crown Jewel, so it will be interesting to see how The Tribal Chief is reintegrated into WWE programming as we approach the event.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that John Cena will face off against AJ Styles at Crown Jewel: Perth. Cody Rhodes is set to go one on one with Seth Rollins for the Crown Jewel Championship, and the winner of Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax will face Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship at the event.
