You never know who’s going to return when you watch a WWE premium live event, and Brock Lesnar got the wrestling world talking last month when he attacked John Cena after the SummerSlam night 2 main event.
Lesnar made it clear that he set his sights on another match with John Cena, and the two stars clashed at WrestlePalooza in Indianapolis on Saturday night. Ultimately Brock Lesnar destroyed John Cena in an 8 minute match that was very much one sided. Following Lesnar’s victory over Cena at WrestlePalooza the match was heavily criticized by fans on social media.
Bodyslam.net is reporting that the original plans for Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena called for Cena to defeat Lesnar at WrestlePalooza. As of Saturday morning John Cena was planned to win the match, but obviously plans were changed.
At this point in time it’s not clear what’s next for John Cena, but he now has only 5 dates remaining on his retirement tour. Cena is currently being advertised for Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11th, and does not have any other scheduled WWE appearances before that date.
Stay tuned for updates.
