Throughout 2025 fans have seen some big returns and back in January former WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella stepped back into the ring when she entered the women’s Royal Rumble match. Ever since Nikki returned there’s been talk of her sister Brie Bella returning as well, but so far it has yet to happen.
While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Nikki Bella shared an update on Brie’s status, and she noted that she’s been pushing for Brie’s return, which is something she believes WWE has become more open to.
“I keep pushing it. All the women want her back and they keep asking me every week has that decision changed. I don’t think legacies should be determined on spouses, but I also understand business. I do think (WWE is) becoming more and more open to it. I understand it takes time and we just have to figure things out. There’s so much business to figure out, and Brie and I both completely understand that.”
Nikki Bella has competed in a handful of matches since returning to the ring in January, and she will have the chance to win championship gold on Sunday as she’s currently set to challenge Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title at Clash in Paris.
