Goldberg is one of the most well known stars in professional wrestling, but throughout the course of his career Goldberg has been known to be someone who other wrestlers sometimes have strong opinions about.
The Hall of Famer’s in-ring skills have often been criticized, and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jake Hager recently took a shot at Goldberg during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet.
“I had Jim Ross put me in an ankle lock. But it’s all worth it if you get to take a stunner from Stone Cold at WrestleMania, that’s the payoff. It was worth it for me. Got a WrestleMania match out of it and it’s all part of the career. This is something I learned from Jericho. You always got to evolve. Like I said earlier, you got to be vulnerable. So if you’re this big, tough guy, you can only do that for so long. Nobody wants to watch Goldberg now. He can’t run a spot. He sucks. Yeah, I said that b***h.”
When Hager was asked if he thinks Goldberg sucks he said, “He can’t run a spot. The only thing he could do is a f*****g spear and get paid $600,000 for it.”
It was then noted that Goldberg is 58 years old to which Hager replied, “Then stop pro wrestling! Stop coming in and taking our money. Sorry. I’m not sorry.”
Goldberg last stepped into the ring when he was defeated by Gunther in his retirement match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event back in July. Jake Hager has also recently confirmed that he is now retired from professional wrestling.
