Chris Jericho has had a long career in the professional wrestling business and he’s been a member of the AEW roster ever since the company launched in 2019. Recently there’s been a lot of talk about Jericho’s future as his deal with AEW is set to expire at the end of the year, and he got the wrestling world talking when he liked a social media post which implied that he should return to WWE.
Fightful Select reports that WWE sources said Chris Jericho’s name hasn’t come up in anything involving the creative process. If there have been internal conversations regarding Chris Jericho they haven’t taken place in that department.
It’s being said that there’s speculation among talent when it comes to a potential Jericho return, and higher-ups have confirmed that Jericho is still on good terms with WWE. One source in WWE said that it’s too early to tell because WWE isn’t sure what Chris Jericho’s status will be in the coming months.
Chris Jericho still has a number of months left on his AEW deal as he’s signed through 2025. There’s no word on any creative discussions regarding Jericho in AEW recently, but it was noted that Jericho tends to speak with Tony Khan directly about his creative.
