Karrion Kross has been a very hot topic in the professional wrestling community over the last few months. On August 10th his contract with WWE expired and he is now officially a free agent.
Following his departure from WWE there have been a number of fans who are openly letting the world know they want to see Kross return, and they’ve been chanting “we want Kross” at recent WWE events, such as last week’s episode of SmackDown. Recently Karrion Kross posted a video of his response to the chants, and he also recalled a conversation he had with R-Truth during a flight back from Saudi Arabia.
“You can’t ignore the crowd in this business. I mean, you can try, it’s not going to be good in the end. You don’t want to make your audience feel like they’re not a part of this. You can’t tell them that they’re a part of this, and that they’re the universe, and they’re so heavily involved in every aspect of it, and then, like on a whim, tell them that certain subsections of them don’t matter. We can’t do that. That p***es people off. It turns people away.
“I remember a conversation Truth had with me on a flight back from Saudi, and he pulled me aside, and there was one thing he said to me that I don’t think he would mind me sharing, and I will never forget it. He said to me; ‘You haven’t won any titles on main roster, but the one title that you have right now, that you will have for the rest of your life, as a moment in time, is the title that the people gave you when they chose you.’”
Karrion Kross has stated that his departure is not a work, and he noted last week during an appearance on the Ariel Helwani Show that he is still open to returning to WWE.
Stay tuned for updates.
