AJ Styles Costs Dominik Mysterio The AAA Mega Championship At Triplemania

AAA TripleMania XXXIII aired live from Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Saturday night and the show was action packed from beginning to end. Multiple WWE stars competed in the main event as El Hijo del Vikingo defended the AAA Mega Championship against Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano and Dragon Lee in a four way match.

El Grande Americano made his way out first followed by Dragon Lee, Dominik Mysterio and finally AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo came out last. As El Hijo del Vikingo was making his entrance he was greeted by Rey Mysterio backstage. Vikingo was heavily booed by the fans in attendance.

At one point Vikingo hit Dragon Lee with the Shooting Star Press and it looked like he had it won. However, Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano pulled him out of the ring while Vikingo was pinning Dragon Lee. Dom and El Grande Americano then briefly teamed up as they powerbombed Vikingo through the announce table. Shortly after El Grande Americano and Dom turned on each other and Dragon Lee took them both out while they were distracted.

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh then ran down to the ring and held Dragon Lee’s arms as Dominik connected with the 619. The LWO made their way out shortly after to fend off The Judgment Day. Two more El Grande Americanos showed up out of nowhere and they took out the LWO. El Grande Americano followed up with a Blockbuster on Dragon Lee, but he kicked out at two. Dragon Lee hit Americano with Operation Dragon and Vikingo broke up the pin.

Dominik put a mask on and loaded it with the steel plate. He threw Vikingo out of the ring then hit Americano with a headbutt. Dominik took out Dragon Lee then hit a Frog Splash and went for the pin. A masked man attacked Dominik then revealed himself to be AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One hit Dom with the Styles Clash then Vikingo hit the 630 splash on Dominik to retain the title.
