John Cena has been in the wrestling business for a long time now, and he’s faced off against a wide variety of opponents. During a recent interview with the Boston Herald, John Cena commented on his wrestling soulmates, and he gave props to some of his favorite opponents throughout his career.
“I have a few wrestling soulmates. Those are Randy Orton, Edge, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles. But gosh, I can’t take any shine away from Cody Rhodes – add him, too.”
Cena has made it clear that he’s going to retire from in-ring competition for good at the end of the year. Ever since he announced his retirement tour there’s been a lot of speculation regarding who John Cena could face in his final match. While talking about potential opponents for his last match the former champion continued to indicate that he will not be looking to choose his opponent.
“I’ve been doing this for 23 years, and I’ve never once chosen my opponent. I’ve always lived by the philosophy that life will give you opportunities every single day, and you have to do the best you can every single day with what life gives you. So whoever challenges me for that last match, I’m going to give it my best shot.”
