This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and John Cena kicked off the show. The former WWE Champion talked about Brock Lesnar, and he told the fans that he’s not going to back down from The Beast Incarnate. Cena said that he’s afraid of a potential match with Lesnar, but if Brock wants some, then come get some.
John Cena continued his promo as he announced that anyone in the back who wants some can come get some. Logan Paul came out and told Cena that he would love to face him in a French speaking country. The Montreal fans cheered, but their cheers quickly turned to boos as he clarified that he was challenging Cena to a match at Clash in Paris.
As Logan Paul was talking to John Cena, Drew McIntyre attacked him from behind. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre were beating Cena down when Cody Rhodes’ music hit. The American Nightmare then ran down to the ring and helped Cena fend off Paul and McIntyre.
After John Cena and Cody Rhodes cleared the ring Cena got on the mic and accepted Logan Paul’s challenge for a match at Clash in Paris. He then challenged Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre to a match against himself and Cody Rhodes tonight on WWE SmackDown. After the commercial break the tag team match was officially confirmed.
