This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec and it will focus on the fallout from SummerSlam.
During night two of SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes challenged John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and it was The American Nightmare who walked out with the gold. After the match was over Cody Rhodes left the ring, and Brock Lesnar shocked the world when he returned to confront John Cena. The Beast Incarnate then hit John Cena with the F5 as SummerSlam went off the air.
WWE has confirmed that John Cena will be kicking off Friday Night SmackDown this week and he’s expected to address the shocking events that played out at SummerSlam.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has also announced that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will be in the house, and the Motor City Machine Guns will be taking on two members of MFT in a tag team match. Other names being advertised for SmackDown this week include Randy Orton, Tiffany Stratton, Jacob Fatu, LA Knight and more.
