MJF has been one of the top stars in All Elite Wrestling for years now and throughout his run with the company he’s formed his fair share of uneasy alliances. Over the last few months MJF tried to win over The Hurt Syndicate until he was officially added to the group.
Once Max was accepted into the group it seemed that MJF’s alliance with The Hurt Syndicate was meant to be a long-term storyline, but he was abruptly kicked out of the stable.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that MJF’s alliance with The Hurt Syndicate was originally supposed to last much longer. It’s being said that the decision to end the alliance was not a request that was made by MVP, but from another member of the group. That’s why AEW cut the angle off so quickly.
It’s also being reported that while the match hasn’t been officially announced yet AEW is currently building toward an Adam Page vs. MJF match for the AEW World Championship.
