The road to WWE SummerSlam has been full of twists and turns and Jade Cargill secured a title shot for herself a few months ago when she won the Queen of the Ring tournament. Following her big victory it was confirmed that Jade Cargill would be challenging Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, and the two stars faced off inside the ring on Saturday night.
Both women were very aggressive as the match kicked off. Stratton hit a Swanton Bomb early on, but Jade quickly kicked out. Jade then put Tiffany on her shoulders and connected with the Eye of the Storm. Cargill and Stratton were evenly matched throughout as they both struggled to get the upper hand.
After a few minutes Tiffany Stratton went for a moonsault off the top rope, but Jade put her legs up to counter the move as Tiffany landed. Jade followed up with Jaded and went for the pin. Unfortunately for Jade she over rotated Tiffany’s leg and put her foot on the rope so the referee called off the pin.
Jade tried to hit Tiffany with Jaded off the middle rope and Tiffany managed to flip her off the ropes onto the mat. Tiffany then followed up with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to win the match.
