You never know when a celebrity might decide to step into a wrestling ring as celebrity involvement with WWE is becoming more and more common nowadays. Recently Jelly Roll kicked off a heated feud with Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre, and it’s been confirmed that Jelly will be teaming with Randy Orton to take on Paul & McIntyre at SummerSlam.
Jelly Roll has been preparing for the match at the WWE Performance Center, and he confirmed that he suffered an injury while training during an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up.
“Listen man, that wrestling’s fake stuff has got to go out the door. There’s no fake way to land on a piece of plywood in front of 60,000 people, you know what I mean? There’s no fake way to go over a cable rope in front of 65,000 people, man. I broke my pinky week one of training by accident. That thing, it’s a constant collision, dude.”
Randy Orton also chimed in an praised Jelly Roll’s hard work when he added, “He’s working as hard as anyone — if not harder — than anyone that I’ve ever seen come into our world.”
SummerSlam will air live from MetLife Stadium on Saturday August 2nd and Sunday, August 1st. Jelly Roll & Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul is expected to take place during night 1.
