There have been a number of breakout stars over the last few years and there’s no denying that Dominik Mysterio has become one of the most talked about names on the WWE roster. Recently Dominik crashed a AAA event and it looks like he could become a major part of the promotion moving forward.
It was recently reported on WrestleVotes Radio that WWE is strongly considered the idea of having Dominik Mysterio win the AAA Mega Championship. According to the report the idea of having AAA’s top champion make appearances on WWE programming is said to be appealing to both sides, and that WWE is heavily considering making Dominik the face of AAA for now.
Currently El Hijo del Vikingo is the AAA Mega Champion, but he’s set to put the title on the line when he defends the belt against Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano at TripleMania XXXIII on August 16th.
Dominik Mysterio will be in action at SummerSlam this weekend as he’s set to defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles at the event. If he is able to successfully retain his Intercontinental Title and go on to win the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania he will become a dual champion.
