WWE has sent out this press release in regards to the arrest warrant issued for WWE Superstar Heath Slater:
“WWE has been advised that a misdemeanor arrest warrant has been issued against Heath Miller (aka Heath Slater), but we have not seen a copy or been provided with the underlying charges. Once this information is received by WWE, we will take the appropriate action.”
The reports are based on claims made in 2011 by an employee at an Atlanta-area hotel, who alleges that Slater assaulted her at the WrestleMania 27 after-party. In a correction from earlier, at this point it is not verified as to whether there is an actual warrant out for his arrest.
Court documents do reveal that on September 4, 2014, Corine Oliver — the complainant – filed pro se (without counsel) paperwork for a civil action in Fulton County Superior Court against Slater (under his actual name Heath Miller), Hyatt Regency Hotel and WWE. The case number for this civil case is 2014 CV 251031. On November 24, 2014, a “Notice of Filing” appeared on the docket. The pending court costs were updated on December 3, 2014.
According to the “Register of Actions” for Fulton County State Court Case No. 14MAGC-07665, an “Application” hearing was held on September 4 and on September 8, there is a “note to file” which says, “RETURNED NOTICE*RESENT TO RESEND NOTICE.” An application hearing was held on November 24 with the result “MOTION GRANTED” but it is unclear as to whether this is an actual arrest warrant or related to the above-noted civil papers that were filed in 2014 CV 251031 on September 4.
Other documents related to these parties and the above-noted allegations are filed under Fulton County State Court Case No. 342381ap. These show a “Warrant Application” filed on September 23, 2013 with the disposition “Application Denied.”
