For weeks now WWE has been teasing the arrival of Penta with cryptic vignettes and the former AEW star finally made his debut on Monday Night Raw this week. Penta got off to a great start with WWE as he picked up a win over Chad Gable in his first match with the company.
PWInsider is reporting that Penta that between his match with Chad Gable and the post-match promo Penta went way longer than initially planned during his segment. This led to time being trimmed from other segments in the show. It’s being said that some talents weren’t thrilled about that.
WWE management was said to have been very happy with the debut and the reaction that Penta received from the live audience. WWE has already released a ton of merchandise for Penta and internally WWE officials were happy with the early merch numbers.
Following his debut Penta is now officially part of the Raw brand. It was also noted that Penta was not injured during the match with Chad Gable he was simply selling his leg.
