Over the years there have been a number of entrance songs that have become fan favorites, such as the “Written In My Face” theme that was used for Sheamus during the early days of his career. Last year Sheamus brought back his “Written In My Face” theme when he returned to Raw, but the theme quickly disappeared shortly after.
Originally the return of the song was met with praise among fans on social media as the theme has spawned some infamous memes based on misheard lyrics. During a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Sheamus was asked about the memes and he noted that he started to pay attention to them back in 2010.
“Maybe 2010. People are very creative on the internet, very creative. I do miss that song, though. A lot of people were upset. I brought it back, but I wasn’t allowed to keep it.”
When asked if the song could return Sheamus went on to say, “I don’t know. Do you want to ask? You go ask. I’m tired of asking. I’m all out of asking.”
Despite the positive response the song received last year when it returned it doesn’t seem that WWE has any plan to bring it back at this point in time, and as Sheamus stated, he’s done asking.
