Over the last few years there have been a number of breakout stars in WWE and Tiffany Stratton has established herself as one of the stars to watch.
Last summer Tiffany Stratton took her career to the next level when she won the Money in the Bank ladder match. After months of teasing a potential cash in Stratton finally used her title shot on SmackDown last week when she defeated Nia Jax to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Tiffany Stratton’s cash-in was met with massive cheers from the fans in attendance which naturally led to some speculation regarding a possible face turn for the new champion.
Dr. Chris Featherstone is reporting that despite the reaction that she received last week, Tiffany Stratton is still listed as a heel on the WWE internal roster. It’s not clear if WWE has plans for her to turn face in the future, but as of right now her status has not officially changed.
A few months ago Tiffany Stratton talked to the New York Post about how a potential face turn could play out for her, and she indicated that her character wouldn’t change all that much.
“I don’t think… I think naturally my character will just kind of turn baby face because the crowd kind of has been slowly kind of turning me baby face. But I don’t think I’m going to change anything just because, you know, why would you change something that’s working? Yeah, I don’t think there is going to be too much to change. I think I’m just going to be the same Tiffany Stratton, just maybe a little bit nicer to my coworkers.”
