Monday Night Raw finally premiered on Netflix earlier this week and WWE brought in some big names for the show. The Rock made his way down to the ring to cut a promo and during the promo he praised Cody Rhodes for carrying the company on his back. The Final Boss also drank tequila with Cody Rhodes backstage which seemed to indicate that their feud is over.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes was the original plan for the WrestleMania main event this year, but it is not happening according to those in the company.
Based on how things played out at Raw it appears that The Rock will not be competing in a match at WrestleMania. It’s said to be up to him, but The Rock has not committed to working a match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Several people have said that the idea of a Rock vs. Roman Reigns match is not dead, and could still happen in the future, possibly at WrestleMania. At this point it’s up to The Rock if he wants to go through the training camp to prepare himself for the match.
