The year is quickly coming to an end and there were a number of memorable feuds that took place over the last twelve months, but many fans would argue that Drew McIntyre’s feud with CM Punk was the feud of the year.
Drew wrapped up his feud with CM Punk after Punk defeated him at the Bad Blood premium live event, and Drew McIntyre took some time off following the show. Recently Drew got the wrestling world talking when he cut a heartfelt promo on Busted Open Radio then dropped the mic and walked out of the studio.
It was reported on WrestleVotes Radio that WWE feels Drew McIntyre is on the cusp of becoming “a significant main event, upper echelon attraction.” Some of that has been attributed to the work he’s done with CM Punk this year.
A source noted that the comments Drew McIntyre made on Busted Open Radio were not scripted, and WWE loved the reaction they received. The belief is that Drew McIntyre will be a huge focus heading into 2025.
